My Gift to God

"But God"...a phrase us believers use to name the only way something was made possible. Do you ever wonder does God say to Himself..."But Whitney"? Not to suggest that anything we do is made possible by our own efforts but simply to infer that He gave us an assignment and we completed it. I know I'm one of God's favorites because my gifts and talents are abundant. The least I can do is use them to fulfill my purpose here on earth. That's my gift to God. If I do my part, God will do His.

I'm a coach. God gave me the ability to think critically and orient towards solutions. Therapy increased my awareness of self and others. When coaching became my career, I was blessed with the training to leverage this ability, alongside my heightened awareness, to change lives. I was trained to professionally coach educators to yield higher academic results. I found this was not possible without coaching them personally. I had to improve their relationships with themselves to improve their relationships with their students and with other educators. This would ultimately improve the learning environment and increase their impact. Together, we faced some hard truths, decided what to change, and created a path towards growth with clear accountability. I find great joy in guiding others towards becoming the best version of themselves, personally and professionally.

I'm a creator. I was created by THE creator. All of us were, and all things. God uses us to continue to create more people, and more things. What we are each best at creating varies from human to human. I personally believe I could learn to create pretty much anything. However, I've learned to stay in my lane. I won't say what I'm best at creating because I don't like to put myself in a box. Just know I'm clear and you soon will be too, if you continue to engage.

I'm a connector. As a child I was identified as gifted. Now, I'm a gifted adult. Gifted brains are bigger and more measurably active, with a greater inter-connectivity between different areas of the brain. This heightened activity can lead to insightful and intuitive thinking, focused learning, and a greater integration and retention of thought. This explains why my gifted brain makes connections between countless entities at an expedited rate. Honestly, I'm often overwhelmed by this and my parents had their hands full before we understood. However, when channeled effectively, giftedness is a game-changer. Being able to make thoughtful connections between who and what are better together is a super power. I know what I know and I know what I don't. I take pride in my ability to understand the needs and desires of others and respond with helpful support. I can also recognize when I am not the right resource and make a connection to one that is right. My goal is to unite what will advance God's mission.

Coach | Creator | Connector

I am Whitney Elise.

Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it's just too bad, because there is no one to help him.

Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10

I end with this verse to remind us that we all have been given different gifts and different assignments. Each of us is uniquely qualified to carry out a part of God's plan. And together, we are better. I know that one of my assignments is to use the gifts I've shared here to ensure that more of God's children complete their assignment. I got you, God.

Thank you for reading! Do you know your gifts and your assignments? If so, please share them and any other reactions or thoughts in the comments! Let's Glo Up, Girls (and Guys)!
